MINNEAPOLIS — Mike Lindell, well-versed in denying election results, has cast doubt on his distant second-place primary finish Tuesday night in his effort to secure the Republican nomination for governor of Minnesota.

Fraud has been a major focus of Republicans who hope to win a statewide race in Minnesota for the first time in two decades.

Michele Tafoya, who won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Minnesota on Tuesday, said it is "embarrassing" for Minnesotans to tell people in other states where they live.

Lindell had President Trump's endorsement but he lost to Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the state house. She'll face Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar in the fall for governor.

Democratic Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya are running for Senate, while Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D) and state House Speaker Lisa Demuth are running for governor.
