Bills star Josh Allen has as good a case as any to be considered the best player in the NFL age 30 or over.

QB Kyle Allen started for the Buffalo Bills, who were forced into a weather delay after only four offesnive snaps against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.

Shane Buechele, who has been on Buffalo’s practice squad the last three seasons, was making a push early on, but Allen has separated himself because in the first two exhibitions, he has completed 24 of 28 for 236 yards and led three scoring drives which would have been four if not for a Tyler Bass missed field goal against Carolina.

Cook played in all 17 regular-season games for the Bills in 2025. He put up 1,621 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 291 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. The three-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in rushing yards and rushing yards per game.

The Bills signed eight-year NFL veteran and Super Bowl champion Greg Gaines while releasing defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote.
