After surviving a flight test, the upper-stage of a Starship rocket has survived the sea. Here's a look inside SpaceX's saga to recover the vehicle.

The upper stage of the rocket hit near the Einstein Crater on the western side of the moon, which is difficult to see from Earth’s surface. If you had been watching, it was more likely that you would have seen the giant plume of moon dust after the fact than the actual impact.

SpaceX’s Starship is spotted floating off the coast of Christmas Island after spending about 24 days at sea. The rocket launched July 24 for SpaceX’s 13th flight test, which included the first suborbital deployment of new Starlink satellites.
