Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are officially staring down the home stretch of their quarterback competition. However, unofficially, it appears that Watson has already won the job, with Sanders getting his chance in the second preseason game rather than the first.

BEREA, Ohio — Deshaun Watson headed into the joint practice against the Bills on Thursday with an apparent slight edge in the quarterback battle against Shedeur Sanders, and did nothing to relinquish it.

There aren’t many quarterback competitions around the NFL this summer, but the Cleveland Browns have one of them. Veteran Deshaun Watson and second-year pro Shedeur Sanders have been battling it out for the right to start the year as QB1.
