As per Variety, Lanterns season 1 episode 1 pulled in a whopping 9.3 million viewers in its first three days on HBO and HBO Max worldwide, marking the biggest series premiere for a DC Studios show ever. Plus, 6.6 million of those views came from the US.

Lanterns, the latest HBO Max series from DC Studios, touched down this past weekend, and the numbers are in: it’s a hit. And it’s an even bigger hit on its debut than another recent HBO Max series from DC Studios, Emmy winner The Penguin.

What we know about Lanterns has been limited, but the series premiere offered some much-needed answers for the fandom.
